Search Engine Optimization

In simple terms, Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) controls where your site lands in a user's search results when they perform a search for various keywords using a search engine such as Google or Bing.  For example, is your site listed at the very top of the first page of search results, or it is much further down the list so that a user does not see it without clicking through several pages of results?

As you are likely aware, the further down the list you are, the less likely that customers will find you and navigate to your site.  For most sites, the goal is to land on the first page of search results for critical keyword searches which are related to their business and as close to the "top" of the first page as possible.

Let's look at a few interesting statistics:
  • On the internet, there are more than 2,000,000,000 (Billion) searches performed by Google EVERY day
  • It is estimated that as much as 80% of the visitors to your website will find it by using a search engine (such as Google or Bing)
Search Engine Optimization has become an increasingly complex science as today's Search Engines have become increasingly more sophisticated and the algorithms which they utilize to rank search results is continuously changing.  At Bit Genesis Software we have deep experience working with modern-day search engines (such as Google and Bing) and the complicated factors which influence where your site lands and on which page of a user's search results.  While we cannot guarrantee that your site will always be the 1st item in a user's search, our site consistently return the highest page rankings and we are frequently "tweaking" the site content and tools to maintain that.  In addition, we periodically review where you site lands in the search results for various comibnations of keywords and monitor any changes so that we can take action as needed to improve your status.

Many of our competitors make various claims to guarrantee that your site will land on the first page of Google Search Results or even at the very top of the first page.  You should beware of such promises and gimmicks as today's sophisticated search engines are continually adapting to them and many of the so-called techniques which worked briefly in the past (such as "Reciprocal Linking" and "Keyword Stuffing") have the opposite effect today and will even result in lower search performance and pank rank results!

At Bit Genesis Software, we utilize our knowledge of today's Search Engines and our many years of experience working with them to obtain the optimum search results for our customers with the highest page ranks.  This translates into more visitors for you, higher traffic to your website and more paying customers.  Below are a few examples from our actual customer sites which show how they performed using Microsoft's Bing Search Engine.  Results are similar for Google's Search Engine.
